UPDATED MAY 28, 2020: Great news! As business have begin to re-open we are starting to hear back from the various manufacturers and distributors that we have been waiting on for new stock. More stock is on its way for almost every single item we currently sell and you’ll start to see more and more items in our store re-list as “back in stock” over the coming days! As far as the “Victor Crowley” T-shirts and Hoodies that were pre-ordered go, our apparel manufacturer notified us today that the ArieScope warehouse should be receiving them on by June 12th! Our staff will immediately begin shipping them out to customers who pre-ordered them as soon as they arrive in our warehouse. Please note that the postal service has been experiencing their own issues with delays due to the pandemic and all dates should be considered approximate. Thank you for your patience during this extremely challenging time.
We hope that this update finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy during this extremely difficult time. To our fans around the world that have still been reporting to work every day throughout the COVID-19 pandemic – THANK YOU for bravely continuing to go out into the storm in order to make life in quarantine possible for the rest of us. From the doctors, nurses, and medical personnel on the front lines fighting for our lives… to the drivers, food service employees, government employees, and every single other “essential” worker around the planet… THANK YOU for doing what you do in order to help keep others safe at home. For everyone else locked down in isolation during this time, we hope that you’re making the most out of your time in quarantine and staying healthy. THANK YOU for staying home and helping society slow down the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Hopefully you were able to take part in Adam Green’s month-long CORONAPOCALYPSE live stream series that took place every single day for 28 days straight from March 23rd through April 19th. By the time Adam’s CORONAPOCALYPSE series was over he had given away every single film, television episode, short film, digital series, and other streamable project from his 21+ year career (so far) for FREE to those who attended the daily live shows. Even more important than the free daily content was the amazing community of fans from all over the planet that made the month-long event something that we will never, ever forget. They say that “the worst times bring out the best in us” and after a month of watching fans come together, form friendships, and show such incredible kindness and support to each other we couldn’t agree more. Throughout the CORONAPOCALYPSE series members of the ArieScope family surprised fans in the live chats by showing up to say “hello” and answer questions about whichever film or other project was being shown that day. To the various cast and crew members who joined Adam almost every day (or in producer Sarah Elbert’s case – every single day!!)… THANK YOU. Will Barratt, Robert Pendergraft, Kane Hodder, Joe Lynch, Laura Ortiz, Corri English, Parry Shen, and Dave Foy were often in the daily live chats while Danielle Harris, Joel David Moore, Paul Solet, Jonah Ray, Sean Becker, Adam Rifkin, Felissa Rose, Tiffany Shepis, Alex Pardee, Greg Aronowitz, Derek Mears, Zach Galligan, Caroline Williams, Colton Dunn, Travis Zariwny, Cody Snider, Jan Michael Losada, Matt Latham, Ed Ackerman, Joe Knetter, Rick McCallum, Jeff Davison, and MORE also joined in for select screenings. If you missed the CORONAPOCALYPSE series you can still watch replays of most of the live streams here. While we obviously couldn’t keep the actual feature films and episodic television series episodes up beyond their one-time only live showing (we may have gone a little overboard giving away the entire library of our work for free once a day for a month straight but the Coronavirus pandemic didn’t turn the ArieScope YouTube channel into “ArieScope Pirate Bay”), you can still watch the introductions, Q&A’s, and even re-read the live chat threads from most of the daily streams as you watch along with your own copy/stream/rental at home. If a full day’s show is missing from our YouTube channel it is because it contained copy written content within the stream itself. With features like HATCHET, SPIRAL, CHILLERAMA, etc we played the films themselves off of a temporary Vimeo link but for days where we streamed the content directly on YouTube (for instance there were 7 days in a row where Adam showed every episode of HOLLISTON over the course of week), the entire day’s stream was removed. Please remember that when it comes to our bigger budget productions, the exhibition rights are controlled by the distributors that financed or purchased them. Technically we did not have the legal right to show most of those projects for free but the various distributors that own the rights were kind enough to look the other way or generous enough to grant Adam temporary permission to do his free screenings as long as they only happened live and only once. To the people at these companies who saw all of the good that these free screenings were doing for people and who allowed it to happen… THANK YOU. If Adam’s CORONAPOCALYPSE series proved anything it’s that we truly are all in this pandemic together and that love and kindness are still alive and well in this new COVID-19 world.
Fans created a “Movie Crypt” discord where the live chatting could continue on after Adam Green’s daily CORONAPOCALYPSE series had ended. Join the discord here!
So what about ArieScope’s “Buy Stuff” store? “Is stuff still shipping out during this insanity?” “When will you guys get more stock for the items that are sold out?” “What about the super cool Victor Crowley T-shirts and hoodies we pre-ordered that were originally supposed to ship by April 20th?” We’re all living in the same world that was unexpectedly shut down by the Coronavirus pandemic in March and our guess is just as good as yours as to when exactly the world will “re-open” for business. Until the distributors/manufacturers re-open we can’t order new stock for the items that have sold out. As far as the new Victor Crowley apparel that was pre-ordered goes, our T-shirt manufacturer/printer is still closed down for the moment and there is quite literally nothing any of us can do to make the world become safer any faster besides continuing to stay home in self-quarantine. However, there is some good news! First of all, ArieScope’s staff has continued to safely get orders shipped out throughout the pandemic. In fact, as of the end of this week every order we have received for in-stock items (up until April 27th) will have shipped out! As we’re all seeing on the news, many states are beginning to open back up and therefore it should only be a matter of days before the businesses we depend on to supply us with our merchandise have their lights back on and begin shipping product once again. As soon as they are given the go ahead to re-open our T-shirt manufacturer (located in Temecula, CA) will begin printing the new Victor Crowley apparel and we will be standing by and ready to ship the T-shirts and hoodies out as soon as they arrive in our (gloved) hands! As far as the “sold out” items in our store go, the various distributors that control and manufacture the Blu-Rays of our feature films and television series (located throughout Southern California) will begin shipping us more stock as soon as they have re-opened. As always, you will receive an email from our store with tracking information once your order has shipped.
We’re all remaining optimistic that the first few states opening up for business again early remain safe and do not see another spike in illnesses or hospitalizations. As anxious as we all may be to get back to work and resume a version of “normal” life again, no one wants to see our hospitals become overwhelmed with new cases or the world’s horrific death toll rise any higher than it tragically already has. We understand that you want your stuff and we love you for supporting us directly so that we can continue to entertain you for what we hope will be many years to come! However, we also know that you will agree with us that it is well worth waiting just a little bit longer to receive the merchandise you purchased if remaining shut down means controlling the spread of COVID-19 and thus saving thousands of lives.
Our entire ArieScope family of humans, canines, felines, monsters, and talking puppets has our fingers, toes, paws, bloody claws, and plush puppet hands crossed that the world will be back on its feet very soon! Thank you for your continued support and patience while we all get through this together. Lastly, a HUGE thank you to those who have donated to ArieScope (the “Feed Arwen a Treat” option in our store) as a way of showing your appreciation for the month of free daily CORONAPOCALYPSE live shows! The pandemic has thrown most of society into financial dire straits and we’d be lying if we tried to tell you that we’re not among the many businesses worried for our survival. Thank you so very much for showing us some love in return during this difficult time.
Wash your hands and stay safe!
