Adam Green to receive “Icon Award”

CINCINNATI, OH – Adam Green will receive the “Icon Award” at HorrorHound Weekend during the upcoming Cincinnati, Ohio-based event, taking place March 25-27th, 2022, at the Sharonville Convention Center.

From HorrorHound Magazine: Adam Green is not only a fan-favorite director within the horror industry, having created the Hatchet film franchise and the series’ iconic “Victor Crowley” character, but having helmed other popular works, such as Frozen, Spiral, Digging Up the Marrow, and the cult TV series Holliston (of which he also starred), as well as developing his own production company, ArieScope Pictures, which produced the 2009 horror gem Grace (starring Jordan Ladd) and 2011’s anthology feature, Chillerama. Adam Green’s dedication to elevating the industry as a whole has inspired other filmmakers, and epitomizes the type of leadership in the genre that earns a special type of notoriety and honor.

The HorrorHound Icon Award is the evolution of HorrorHound’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which was launched in 2009 in a ceremony honoring the career of Clive Barker. Additional names given this annual award include Lin Shaye, Elvira, Dick Miller, and Barbara Steele. Post-pandemic, the HorrorHound team rechristened the award as the “Icon,” with aim to honor names who have not only had a storied career in the industry – but for those who have given their all to elevate the horror genre as a whole.
