Earlier this year Adam Green, Joe Lynch, and Arwen introduced a new series of special roundtable episodes of THE MOVIE CRYPT podcast. As opposed to the usual weekly episodes where the focus is on a specific artist’s career journey, these special roundtable episodes bring together a panel of guests to discuss a specific subject that would be too big of a topic to possibly tackle thoroughly within the average episode.
This week THE MOVIE CRYPT podcast has released their third roundtable episode: “Violence in Cinema.” In this special episode Adam Green (HATCHET, FROZEN) sits down with filmmakers Mick Garris (THE STAND, MASTERS OF HORROR), Darren Lynn Bousman (SAW 2-4, REPO! THE GENETIC ROCK OPERA) and Tom Six (THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 1-3, THE ONANIA CLUB) to explore the controversial subject of whether or not excessively violent entertainment bares any responsibility for the epidemic of real world violence and where they personally draw the line in regards to the gory atrocities that they depict on-screen in their films.
Episode 470 “Violence in Cinema” is now playing on all podcast platforms.
The first two special roundtable episodes – Episode 454 “Topic Fandom / Cancel Culture” (released on February 14, 2022) and Episode 459 “Gun Violence” (released on March 21, 2022) both received incredible responses and are currently available to hear on whatever platform you listen to podcasts on. Roundtable episodes are released in their entirety to the general public.
