YORKIETHON 6: The Movie Crypt podcast’s 6th annual 48-hour LIVE marathon to benefit Save A Yorkie Rescue took place Friday December 10th through Sunday December 12th. Hosts Adam Green, Joe Lynch, and Arwen were joined by roughly 70 guests from all over the world for a 2-day long variety show that featured live music, comedy, film commentaries, a reading of the very first (extremely different) draft of BACK TO THE FUTURE (1985), a horror baking segment, “Arwen’s Silent Auction,” and more! In the end, YORKIETHON 6 raised $37,248.53 for SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE. It is money that will change the lives of dogs that have been abandoned and/or abused by the very people they were counting on most in life.
“That’s a wrap!” (Note: Donations have continued to come in since this photo was taken.)
A full recap listing ALL of the guests that appeared during YORKIETHON 6 will be posted before the end of the year so be sure and check back soon! In the meantime, THANK YOU to everyone who watched this epic 48-hour variety show – especially those who generously helped SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE by donating directly to the Rescue or by purchasing something in “Arwen’s Silent Auction!” We hope that YORKIETHON 6 provided you with enough laughs, fun, and positivity to remember that “good” is still very much alive. All around the world tonight, millions of dogs and cats are sleeping in shelters or foster homes and dreaming that tomorrow will be the day that they are adopted into a loving family. Like them, we hope that you never give up believing that tomorrow will be better.
REMINDER: Items purchased in “Arwen’s Silent Auction” will not begin shipping until after the holidays. In order to ensure that every penny raised goes to the dogs under SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE’s care, The Movie Crypt podcast’s YORKIETHON is a fully volunteer operation. Our staff will be away as they spend the holidays with their families, but they will get everything shipped out when they return in January.
Exhausted hosts Adam Green, Joe Lynch, and Arwen with YORKIETHON 6’s equally exhausted technical director Sean Becker and assistant technical director Ryan Plume.
