FIRST STILLS FROM THE HOLLISTON CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!

PRESS RELEASE: “Holliston” is FEARnet’s wicked awesome first original television series, created by and starring modern genre master Adam Green (Frozen, Hatchet), returns with a brand new one-hour Christmas special and a season 1 marathon to whet viewers’ appetites for the premiere of season 2 in June.

Catch up on all the “Holliston” hijinks with the complete season 1 “Holliston” marathon at 3:30 p.m. ET/12:30 p.m. PT on Dec. 18.

Tune in as aspiring horror filmmakers Adam and Joe (Joe Lynch)—along with Joe’s girlfriend, Laura (Laura Ortiz) and Adam’s childhood sweetheart, Corri (Corri English)—deal with life, love, and Lance Rockett (Dee Snider), while having run-ins with genre legends Kane Hodder, Tony Todd and John Landis, and receiving sincere-yet-terrible advice from GWAR’s Oderus Urungus, who lives in Adam’s closet.

Directly following the marathon at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, the most wonderful time of the year quickly turns into “Silent Night, Deadly Night,” when a blizzard strikes the town of Holliston, trapping Adam, Joe, Corri and Laura inside with no power in the “Holliston Christmas Special.”

To make matters worse, a crazed serial killer has just escaped and is said to be lurking somewhere in the area. Fearing for their lives and having nothing but flashbacks to entertain them, the gang reminisces about the moments in their past that brought them all together. Derek Mears (Friday the 13th) guest stars.

“The Holliston Christmas Special was a great way for us to elaborate on the characters and their back stories while still pushing the show forward,” Green said.  “Not only does it serve as a fantastic bridge between Seasons 1 and 2, but it also sets things up for what’s to come as “Adam” and “Corri” take an eventful turn in their already complicated relationship. Overall it’s a great next entry in the fun and craziness that is ‘Holliston,’ but being a special episode, we’ve also created something a bit more emotional than the norm. We’re all incredibly proud of this one-hour episode and grateful for the chance to do something so unique this early in the series’ life.”

“FAN GAMING NIGHT” Friday December 21, 2012

On Friday night December 21 Adam Green will be holding another “Fan Gaming Night” playing HALO 4 with fans on XBOX Live from 7-9pm PST. Special guests will also be stopping by to throw some frags and teabag your corpses including actor Derek Mears (“Officer Duffy” on HOLLISTON, FRIDAY THE 13TH 2009, PREDATORS), actor Colton Dunn (“Officer Pappas” on HOLLISTON, HATCHET 2, KEY AND PEELE), and special make-up effects artist Robert Pendergraft (HOLLISTON, the HATCHET series, CHILLERAMA).

If you’ve never played before, here’s how it works…

1.) Send a friend request anytime before the night of the event to the gamer tag “AdamFnGreen” and you will be added to that profile’s friend list.
2.) Be on-line and on HALO 4 between 7-9pm PST on Friday night December 21st.
3.) When sent a game invite from “AdamFnGreen”, accept it as quickly as you can and join the party. Play with Adam and friends, chat, meet other fans from all over the world, and have a good time!

It’s that easy. Due to the limited number of players that HALO 4 allows at one time during a big team battle, not everyone will get into every match. But if you don’t get in right away, hang tight. After every few games (usually every 15 minutes depending on how long the matches go and how many fans appear to be on-line) we will will clear out the entire party and start over again by sending another round of invites to all fans appearing on-line and playing HALO 4. How many games you get to play with Adam and his special guests all depends on how many fans turn up the night of the event, but in the past most everyone who has tried to play has gotten a chance to play at least a few rounds. Be patient and please do not keep sending invites and requests to play. So long as your profile is set to appear on-line and so long as you are playing HALO 4 (and available, i.e. not in another match) you will most likely receive an invite before the night is over. Remember, it is first come first serve, so be ready to accept the invite and join the game before the roster of available players becomes full and hopefully you will get at least one (if not several) chances to play and spend some quality cyber time with Adam and friends.

NOTE: The “AdamFnGreen” gamer tag is used only for these “Fan Gaming Nights”. It is not Adam Green’s actual XBOX profile and it is not checked on a regular basis, so any messages sent to the account will likely not be received by Adam personally.

Keep it friendly, have fun, and take part in this special fan appreciation night if you’re a gamer. These events are strictly done as a way of saying “thank you” for being a fan. So don’t be the guy/girl who tries to use this as an opportunity to pitch a movie, don’t hit Adam or the other special guests up for work, and don’t be a dick and ruin the night for everyone else!

See you on the battlefield!

HOLLISTON “The Complete First Season” hits DVD and BLU-RAY.

HOLLISTON “The Complete First Season” arrives on DVD and BLU-RAY in the United States today. Loaded with over 90 minutes of special features, the set includes all six extended-length episodes from Season One: “The Hooker”, “The Camera Rental”, “Skunked”, “Candyman”, “Laura’s Little Twitter”, and “Weekend of Horrors”.

UPDATE

According to Image Entertainment (HOLLISTON’s DVD and BLU-RAY distributor) the demand far outweighed the supply for HOLLISTON SEASON ONE and not enough units were created for each chain to properly supply all of their outlets. (We know that’s supposed to be bad news- but WOW that’s kind of awesome!) That’s why some fans may have not been able to find it at their local store this morning. Some retailers chose to offer HOLLISTON SEASON ONE only through their on-line stores because of this. We highly suggest that you purchase the show on-line from the retailer of your choice (Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, etc). It will likely be faster than searching or waiting for stock to be replenished and may even prove to be cheaper and easier. Sorry for any hassle, but what great news for the show that the demand was so much bigger than the distributor ever expected. THANK YOU!!

Rock and Shock – CONVENTION EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISE

ROCK AND SHOCK CONVENTION – WORCESTER, MA:  During his appearance at Rock And Shock 2012 (October 12th – 14th) in support of HOLLISTON, Adam Green will also be signing at the ArieScope Pictures booth for free (as always) at select times on Saturday and Sunday (13th, 14th) only.  So bring your ArieScope DVDs, posters, pictures, etc for Adam and he will gladly sign and pose for photographs free of charge.   As an exclusive to Rock and Shock, ArieScope is sending some rare items from our vault that will be for sale at this convention only.  These are items that cannot be bought anywhere else and that have never been made available for sale by us before.  (Sorry!  You can’t buy these items from us on-line!) These are incredible collectibles for only the biggest of fans.

Stock will be extremely limited as these are ultra rare items that we have held on to over the years and that were never made in mass quantities.  Items will only be for sale when Adam is appearing at the booth as the booth will only be open at those times… so stay on it!  ArieScope will not be set up to take credit cards or checks, so it is cash only.  The idea behind doing this is to make sure that these items find homes with REAL fans rather than sitting in storage for years or auctioned off on eBay to folks who will only turn around and try and sell them off at an even higher price.  So what better place to make these items available than in Adam’s home town and the birth place of ArieScope Pictures?

Below you’ll find just SOME of the items that ArieScope will have for sale at Rock and Shock.  If you’re going to be attending the convention, be sure and visit the ArieScope table to see what else we have!

HATCHET 1 bloody festival poster, banned from use in the actual theatrical run by the MPAA.  FULL SIZE THEATRICAL PRINT.  You’ll notice that this poster does not have the Anchor Bay logo on it as at this point in HATCHET’s life the film had not yet found a distributor.  These posters were made for the film’s world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006 and only 100 were created.  Only 5 posters will be for sale.  NOTE: there is some crinkling due to sitting in storage for over 6 years now, but if you get the posters dry mounted and framed they will appear (almost) as good as new.

Price: $75

HATCHET 1 festival poster.  Only 100 of these were printed and they are unique from the actual theatrical poster in that they have the original tagline: “It’s not a remake, it’s not a sequel, and it’s not based on a Japanese one.”  The poster does not have the Anchor Bay logo on it as the film had not yet found a distributor at the time of printing for the world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006.  Some minor crinkling has occurred due to storage but if dry mounted and framed the poster will appear (almost) as good as new.  Only 2 posters will be for sale.

Price: $50

HATCHET 1 UK theatrical quad.  FULL SIZE THEATRICAL PRINT.  Super rare in the US!  Only 5 will be available for sale.  Some minor crinkling due to the years in storage but if dry mounted and framed it will look (almost) as good as new.

For each film ArieScope produces, Adam Green personally makes up exclusive crew T-shirts as gifts to the cast and crew.  The shirts are usually made to look like a concert shirt, with the film’s logo in the form of a popular band’s logo and the tour/shoot dates on the back of the shirt.  These are printed in strict quantities and only for those who worked on the films.  Until Rock and Shock, these shirts have never been made available for purchase by anyone outside of the cast and crew that made each film.  Unless you worked on the film – you could never get access to one of these shirts!  These will be extremely limited in both quantity and sizes as the shirts being sold are overstock that were either ordered by mistake or in some cases never picked up by the cast or crew member they were ordered for.  Sorry, no pictures available at this time.  You’ll have to stop by the booth to see for yourself!

HATCHET 1 “Victor Crowley Lives” Crew T-shirt.  As seen in the original movie in the voodoo shop where Ben and Marcus sign up for the swamp tour.  Tour/shoot dates on the back.  The rarest of rare crew shirts!  Only 3 XL shirts left in existence and for sale!  Price: $70

Select BLU-RAYS and DVDs of the ArieScope catalogue (including HOLLISTON: The Complete First Season) in various quantities and prices.

Lastly, the mother of all ArieScope items… a SCREEN-USED PROP HATCHET from HATCHET 2!  Yes, this fake hatchet was used by “Victor Crowley” (Kane Hodder) when he killed “Reverend Zombie” (Tony Todd) in the movie!  Though the blood has been cleaned off, the prop still has the marks and beatings on it to proudly display its battle scars from the movie.  The ultimate Hatchet artifact for the ultimate fan.  Price: $150.

But that’s not all!  There will be more items available at Rock and Shock only!  Keep an eye on the ArieScope booth and get in line fast when the HOLLISTON signings end and Adam steps over to the table.  Good luck getting what you’re after while supplies last and remember that Adam Green will gladly sign anything for free that you bring to or buy at the convention.  He’ll also have FREE pictures to giveaway and sign for fans who stop by the booth to say hello.

See you in Worcester, Rock And Shock!

That’s a Wrap!

Season 2 of HOLLISTON has wrapped principal photography. With 1,303 camera set-ups shot in a mere 21 shooting days, the shoot was the most challenging (and the most fun) that ArieScope has ever accomplished. The hour-long “Christmas Special” will air on the FEARnet cable TV channel this December and Season 2 (10 episodes) begins airing in the Spring of 2013. Congratulations to cast and crew on an amazing production!

Season 1 hits DVD and BLU RAY (complete with over 90 minutes of special features) on Tuesday October 9th wherever DVDs and BLU RAYs are sold.

Bailee Madison joins the cast of HOLLISTON

The young and amazingly talented Bailee Madison (DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK, ONCE UPON A TIME) has joined the cast of HOLLISTON as a guest star in Season 2. In the episode, Adam meets a young girl (Madison) who may or may not be pretending to be something she is not. The episode is currently shooting in Hollywood, CA.
